
Elsenham is a long-established village with a strong community spirit and great links to local towns and further afield. Elsenham station (only moments from the development) offers regular direct services to both London Liverpool Street (55 minutes) and Cambridge (29 minutes), making the village ideal for commuters.
In addition, the village is close to Junction 8 of the M11 motorway and only three miles from Stansted Airport, making international travel easily accessible.
Despite its excellent transport links, the village has retained its rural charm and the surrounding countryside offers endless possibilities for all sorts of leisure pursuits.
Local Amenities
Elsenham village has a post office, doctors’ surgery, village shop for those last-minute essentials, and The Crown, the busy local pub. Only fifteen minutes’ drive away is the popular market town of Bishop’s Stortford, with excellent shopping, restaurants, bars and leisure facilities.
Education
Elsenham C. of E. Primary School is a very popular school which has been rated ‘Good’ by Ofsted. Only a few miles away, Stansted Mountfitchet’s Forest Hall School is a fast-improving secondary school which is part of the Burnt Mill Academy Trust, and Bishop’s Stortford has a number of excellent secondary schools.


Leisure
Elsenham Golf and Leisure provides a beautiful parkland nine-hole golf course in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere, as well as a modern gym, restaurant and bar. Elsenham Recreation Ground is home to the village football team and tennis club and is a short walk from the development.
Stansted Mountfitchet Castle and Norman Village, Hatfield Forest, The Gardens of Easton Lodge and Cammas Hall Fruit Farm are all within a short drive.
